Dear Art Lovers, Artists, Friends of Monhegan and Users of the Wharf-

For the past several years we have been working towards renovating our wharf to make it safer and more user friendly. We have written federal grants and raised funds through taxation to the tune of $450,000.00. But due to the price of fuel and our economic slow-down the project will now cost $485,000.00 - leaving us with a $35,000.00 shortfall and not much time as the project is slated to begin this Fall!!

We are planning an Art Auction on July 11, 2008 to help overcome this shortfall.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS WHO LOVE MONHEGAN!!!

If you would like to donate a painting to be auctioned off to benefit the Town Wharf Renovation Project - we would love to accept it!

If you would like to donate funds to go towards the Town Wharf Renovation Project - please make your check payable to the Monhegan Plantation and write "wharf project" in the memo line.
